Having degrees in both Landscape Design and Horticulture, I can help you plan your yard by creating a design to fit your ideas, budget, style and property. Both a small and large yard can benefit from the trained eye of a professional designer. I can help you with plant and/or hardscape designs.

We can work together to create the perfect yard. For plant designs I will take into account the water needs, sun requirements, style, color and bloom time of each plant. Hardscape designs can include new patios, pools, BBQ's, walls, fences, pathways and more.

I will also help with horticultural problems such as soil amending, fertilizing, pest control and watering.

Blueprint Landscape Design Drawings:

Blueprints Designs for Orange County yards can inclued plant and/or hardscape ideas. Blueprints range in price depending on the size and complexity of the project. Landscape Consultations:

With an 'On Site Landscape Consultation’ (Orange County, California only) I will set up an appointment to walk through your yard with you and discuss any ideas or problems that you may have. You will receive a detailed report in the mail including ideas on what to plant, pest control, care, fertilizing, hardscape, & soil amending. Consultations do not include a blueprint. Custom Monthly Maintenence Guides:

Send me an email with your specific maintenence concerns and I will create a Monthly Maintenence Guide just for you. Be sure to include what types of plants you grow (Roses, vegetables, shrubs...) and what sepcific gardening concerns you have. Fee for this service is $50.00.

Five Ways to Save Money on Your Yard!

1. Start with Smaller Plants. A plant from a four inch pot will catch up to a plant in a one gallon pot in no time. So why spend more money on plants, if you can wait a few months to see the same results?

2. Choose the Right Plants. First, make sure you are using shade plants in the shade and sun plants in the sun. Then check out the growth pattern of the plants. Are they the right size for the area you are thinking of using them? This will save you from spending money later on removal and replanting. Also choose long term perennial plants over short term annuals.

3. Know When To Seek Help. Using a designer to help you plan may save a ton of money and headaches in the long run. Spending some money up-front on a consultation or design might save you much more later because of bad choices, plant removal and plant replacement. Scroll down to see ideas on our design services.

4. Put Your Money Into Your Soil. Why buy an expensive plant, then put it in bad soil where it will die? You can buy a small, healthy plant and put it in good soil and it will thrive. Take your time to add organic materials and fertilizers that will improve your soils.

5. Save Water. Check your sprinkler system often to see if the coverage is correct. Re-set the timer as the weather changes to make sure you are not using more water than needed. Hand water when you can to make the best use of your water.
